    Assalaamu alaykum,

I'm a convert from America Alhamdulillah, African American so upon hearing that this darul uloom has an English to Arabic medium really excites me as I know nothing of Urdu and most of the darul ulooms in north America utilize the Urdu language as a medium. My question is this: is there any way possible for a student to find a job in south Africa that brothers could hhelp out with? I read through this forum and I understand students living in madrasah can't work. The reason for this question is because I'm 21, and quite honestly I reallllllly would rather not wait to get married until I'm 28 or 29 lol. I saw what was written about married couples can be accommodated at azaadville or zakariya, but they're medium of instruction is Urdu correct? Any guidance anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated. Jazaakum Allahu Khayrun

Azaadville and Zakariya might instruct you in urdu, but they teach you urdu the first year... or pre first year. Azaadville own a few of the houses in the local area and will be able to help find you a place. Zakariya have houses on site but they are usually full. They too can help you find a place. Problem is, none of these schools will recommend you to work during your studies there. In fact, I don't even recommend it as there is basically no time to work with the amount of studies you'll get. My advice is that you wait until 28-29 to get married OR work now, get married, save save save and go together? Salaams brother. Anything else just ask.
