Default Talbina - From the miraculous medicine of the prophet Muhammad (SAW)

    Assalaamaulaykum,

I went to the local chemist the other day and saw this shelf full of talbina. First time iv ever heard of it, subhanAllah its really good. Its made from the flour of barley and its bran. You put a spoon of the powder in a cup of cold water, heat it. Then pour into a cup of boiled milk and mix with honey or sugar. (really easy).

    it says on the pack:

Talbina - From the miraculous medicine of the prophet Muhammad (SAW)

"Talbina is a cure for a sick persons heart and relieves him from some sorrows." related by Bukhari and Muslim.

It reduces cholestrol and strengthens the heart,
Protects from cancer, alzheimer and delays ageing,
    Treats depression and releives sorrow,
    Treats diabetes, mellitus and hypertension,
    Treats laxative and cole sedative,
    And has no side effects.

Both the prophets (SAW) Sunnah and modern scientific research have proved that Talbina cures many diseases and can be used as a medicine.

Its easy to make and tastes nice aswell, Especially with honey.

iv been having it everyday since i bought it and Alhamdulillah it really works. It calms you down and relaxes you. We should also have a spoon of black seed oil a day as thats a cure from all sicknesses apart from death.

Only place iv seen it (Talbina) is in Moins chemist on East park road (Leicester). Has anyone else tried it?

The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "I left the Quran and my Sunnah among you. if you hold on to them, you wont go astray after me".

    Stick to the Sunnah InshAllah

    Assalamu 'alaykum,

It sounds very much like a dessert called 'Sujji Ka Halva' - thats a dessert made from those EXACT ingedients except that the main flour used is semolina and not barley. I wonder if Sujji ka halva began with Barley as it's main ingredient and over the years changed to semolina...

JazakAllahu khairan for the idea - could try it with Barley instead!

    if you die,
    they should weep for you,
    and if you live,
    they should long for you

    BarakAllah, it might be similar.
    I found this on sunnipath:

VIII. Al-talbina* for someone who is ill

5365. It is related from 'Urwa that 'A'isha used to command that talbina be prepared for a sick person and for someone suffering grief due to the loss of someone. She said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say, 'Talbina gives rest to the heart of the sick person and removes some of his sorrow."

5366. It is related from Hisham's father ('Urwa) that 'A'isha used to command that talbina [be prepared] and said, "It is nasty but is beneficial."

[* Talbina is a soup made of flour or bran and milk and sweetened with honey.]

    Assalamu Alaykum,

I would like to ask where I can find the AT-TALIBA.

I am trying to find the product and only found it available in Leceister.
I have been trying to find the product and then to buy it, but I only find the tablets and supplements.
Could you please send me some more information about it -
    (whether it is raw?
    mixed with another product?
    etc)

I live in London and would like somewhere more convenient.

Is there any stores in London?
Or can I buy online from any stores?

Mashallah I'd love to try this too.

Br. Omar Farouk is there a picture of this product?/can you upload a pic/link? Any chance of asking the Moins chemist manager where he got it from?

Just found this link on some of its benefits :

The Islamic Establishment in Leicester (Asfordby Street) sell it in different forms. You can buy it from their online site too - www.theislamicestablishment.com.
