    Default Allah - Jalaluddin Rumi

    Allah

I tried to find Him on the Christian cross, but He
was not there; I went to the Temple of the
Hindus and to the old pagodas, but I could not
find a trace of Him anywhere.

I searched on the mountains and in the valleys
but neither in the heights nor in the depths was I
able to find Him. I went to the Ka'bah in Mecca,
but He was not there either.

I questioned the scholars and philosophers but
    He was beyond their understanding.

I then looked into my heart and it was there
where He dwelled that I saw Him; He was
    nowhere else to be found.

    O Allah!
You are my Rubb. There is no true god except You. You have created me, and I am Your slave, and I hold to Your Covenant as far as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge the favours that You have bestowed upon me, and I confess my sins. Pardon me, for none but You has the power to pardon. :astagh:

This a great thread Check this one...

Sometimes in order to help He makes us cry.
Happy the eye that sheds tears for His sake.
Fortuante the heart that burns for His sake.
    Laughter always follows tears.
    Blessed are those who understand.
    Life blossoms wherever water flows.
Where tears are shed divine mercy is shown.

    -Rumi
I always see the remedy in pain. I see the subtle gift and fidelity in angry quarrels and betrayals. When I look down, I don't see the earth. And when I look up, I don't see the vault of the sky. Whatever I glance at I see You. – rumi

    Asalaamualaikum,
This is another one that I like.

    Let go of your worries

    and be completely clear-hearted,

like the face of a mirror

    that contains no images.

If you want a clear mirror,

    behold yourself

    and see the shameless truth,

    which the mirror reflects.

    If metal can be polished

    to a mirror-like finish,

    what polishing might the mirror

    of the heart require?

Between the mirror and the heart

    is this single difference:

    the heart conceals secrets,

    while the mirror does not.
