We also agree. Scholars should or reply should be from a scholar, even if posted by laymen.Originally Posted by Ahmed

We'd appreciate it if members did not make chatty posts in the Islam Q&A section - Jazakumullah Khayran

This is perfectly ok - make sure the link is valid and that you copy and paste the answer too so in case the link changes. How about if we give a link to a reliable website like Sunnipath that answers the question asked?
I did this recently, am I allowed
Another death that changes nothing in this conflict, but changes everything in one family.
Br. Mossy's sticky is old. Insha-Allah, we are going to be cleaning up the Islam Q&A section from this Friday, when we'll be closing certain sections for maintenance.
In Mossy's sticky it states members are (or rather were) allowed to give responses to questions... However, that rule has now changed as it has become increasingly apparent lately that members are posting their own opinions and thoughts. Hence, we have made a new rule which states only the Sunniforum.com Team and Ulama can deal with questions in the Islam Q&A section.
The sunniforum.com Staff who are not scholars, do not (and should not) be posting their own views and opinions, rather we answer questions based on various reliable sources and Islam Fatawa sites. Only the Ulama of our Team can fully answer questions.
Insha-Allah, we plan to strongly moderate the Islam Q&A section from now onwards.
