There are many pakistanis there although I don't know how many? I know quite a few converts, some quite prominent like Dr Rashid Skinner (Consultant Clinical Psychologist). Sure there are many more untapped either by: no contact with the english speaking Muslim world or those currently mingling with those deviant sects

Yorkshire is such a dull place.I think the facilities for new muslims is better down south...do u know if there are any converts in barnsley? i remember a sister telling me she went there with a friend and the people where staring at them because they are not used to seeing nonwhite people...so was wondering are there any muslims there making dawah?

I am a southerner and didn't covert until I came to Yorkshire... your statement is perhaps rather judgemental . Have you been up here?
Also I should point out that not knowing someone doesn't mean they're not prominent
I once met yor typical middle age white Barnsleyiste and he was... Muslim! It's Allah that guides not southerners, yorkshiremen or anyone else... wa al hamdulillahi rubbil a'alameen

i live in Yorkshire i dont think theres enough being done for new muslims or the general muslim community for eg..the youth etc..obviously im not speaking for the whole region just where i live...and brother men..comeon its common knowledge the south is the happening place in terms of everything.. ..that place barnsley subhanallah i saw a documentary about it and the people there would be very receptive if given da'wah inspite of all the racism nonwhite muslims would face...they have so many social problems because of the collapse of the local industries so many people have resorted to drugs..alcohol etc..morals and values gone out the window etc..

About the brother you mentioned i never said he wasnt prominent..just that i never heard of him.

Hehe, ok good stoof. Anyway I think we've strayed off the point. Lets see if we can compile a list of suitable material and classify it insha'Allah. Also was thinking of writing a book, what should go in it?

For the Hanafi Salaah see this:
    Hanafi Salaah

As for the Shafi, i think the Shafi sisterfromthelandofpunt(i'll call her SLP now) can give the Shafi Salaah.

    Theres also www.Sunnah.org and www.livingIslam.org and www.masud.co.uk and www.deenport.com

For the Maliki Salaah and Tasawwuf etc see this:
    Maliki Salaah and Tasawwuf

    For Aqeedah see this:
    Aqeedatul Tahawiyya

Come on people, lets help out.
