    Default Omar Bakri TWISTS hadeeth

Omar Bakri twists hadeeth to make the noble Prophet(saw)
    look like a terrorist

He is asked about the 9/11 hijackers:

    Quote:
    Q: Were their actions Islamic?

A: The Prophet Muhammad once said to the enemy: I have come to terrorize you; he said: “O, people of Qureish I have come to slaughter you’; in another quote he said: ‘I am the Prophet who kills while laughing’.

the Prophet – SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa-sallam – is reported to have said:

    أنا الضحوك القتال

Meaning: I am the Cheerful, and the Slayer.

Ibn Katheer says explaining this narration (during Tafseer of Surah al-Maida):

    فهو ضحوك لأوليائه قتال لأعدائه

Meaning: The Prophet – SallAllahu ‘alaihi wasallam – is cheerful towards his allies and a slayer towards his enemies.

Ibn al-Jawzi quotes Ibn Faris in Sifat al-Safwah (1/56), explaining the name of the Prophet, al-Dhahook:

قال ابن فارس وإنما قيل له الضحوك لأنه كان طيب النفس فكها وقال إني لأمزح

Meaning: Ibn Faris said: The Prophet was called al-Dhahook because he was a cheerful and jolly person. He once said: Indeed, I joke!

So, poor miskeen, where is the supposed narration: ‘I am the one who smiles when he kills’?!?!

...and the amazing thing about the statement ' i have come to slaughter you ' is that the conquest of Makkah (i.e. the quraysh) was peaceful according to the majority of scholars, with perhaps a few skurmishes.

i don't recall any of the early community running into the market on their horses and camels killing everyone they saw, even if it was their enemy.

bakri is not an islamic scholar. anyone who claims he is - is a monkey.

i found the interview online - but where on earth is this 'authentic' hadith that the prophet is supposed to have said 'i am the prophet who kills while laughing'?

can any of the knowledgable brothers/sisters in the forum comment on whether that is an appropriate translation of:

    'ana al-dhahuk al-qattal'

i thought in grammar that if 'al' was before both words, they would be connected somewhat. e.g. al-sharh al-kabir - the greatest commentary, although i don't know what happens if 'ana' (i am) comes before

secondly - where is this hadith from anyway? narrators? weak?

i am pretty sure that these are accepted asma al-nabi though..

    al-dhahuk - the cheerful one

    al-qattal - the dauntless fighter

(check sunnipath for names of the prophet)

    he twisted it

first of all, is it a hadith?

secondly, i was told anjem choudary, OBM's spokesperson who is the UK, said something similar on the 'GEO' tv channel. a caller phoned in and asked him to make an apology for such outrageous statements - he refused.

surely if this hadith is weak or non-existent, or even if he translated wrong, it proves without a shadow of a doubt that:

    1. OBM is not an islamic scholar

    - because to say 'authentic' to the general public is extremely misleading.

    2. his henchmen are making taqlid of him in every matter.

    - which shows how ignorant they are.

didn't the prophet also warn us about the one who lies by attributing something or a saying to him which he didn't do or say?

Maybe they have been reading Jalaluddeen Rumi who has something similar. The commentary of which I have understood as, he is happy to obey the commands of Allah in implement the hudud and fighting fee sabeeliLlah. And Allah knows all.

    With peace
