Default Pakistani Scholars of Islam List

Can people who are familiar with Ulema from Pakistan post their names and possibly a little about them, be it their education, learning, institutes they're a part of. I've seen many youth who're Pakistani speak lowly when it comes to scholars from the country, but I know there are certainly many upon many gems there. And I'm talking about current Ulema.

    Salamu `Alaykum

Shaykh al Hadith Hazrat Sufi Sarwar Sahib of Jami`a Ashrafiya Lahore. He is the khalifa of Mufti Muhammad Hasan and also Maulana Maseehullah Khan (both khulafa of Maulana Thanvi).

He has written numerous works including:

    1. Hasn al Ma'bud fi Hal Sunan Abi Dawud:

A commentary on Imam Abu Dawud's Sunan in 2 volumes.

    2. al Khayr al Jari fi Hal Sahih Bukhari:

A commentary on Imam Bukhari's Sharh. It is an excellent work using a number of soruce including the commentaries of Ibn Hajar, al `Ayni, Imam Kashmiri, and the teachings of Shaykh Zakariyya Khandihlawi.

    3. Tahseen al Mabani:

An overview of the great `usul work Mukhtasar al Ma`ani.

He is very old in his age. May Allah continue to benefit us through his baraka.

    Wasalam
May My Soul be sacrificed for your soul, my beloved, my master Muhammad - peace and blessing upon you- !

What I myself have noticed among many non-Arab youths (and in myself when I was a youth as well) is that non-Arab Ulema, even if they come from our ancestral homeland, if they cannot converse AND lecture in Arabic, even if they can read, write, and understand it just fine, lose credibility very quickly in their eyes.

I know that this is wrong and due to ignorance, but it is the reality (at least from my point of view) of the condition of our Youth.

Ok, so we have two scholars so far...

What about Mufti Munib ur-Rahman? I've heard plenty about him, but don't really know much other than he is popular amongst the masses.

Then there is also Sh. Tahir al-Qadri as well. He seems to have a Barelvi following moreso, and can be among contemporaries in the Arab Sunni world. I believe he is considered Shaykh ul-Islam by many as well.

I'm liking the fact that peopela re coming up with names, but can we have biographies or a little something about studies, background, what they teach, where they teach. A name alone does no one any good.
