Actually, the sentence you spoke means "how are you?? i'm very well".
Urdu isn't that hard, its like Arabic, same letters(apart from the odd ones) and some words are the same too.
But Urdu is a wonderful language MashAllah, and many great works and poems have been written in it such as about Holy Prophet(SAW).
Wa Salaam

yes i knew its meaning lol i wasnt sure if its mai bohod achei hai..or mai bohod achey huOriginally Posted by loveProphet

Its, mai bohot achi(feminine) ho.Originally Posted by scents of paradise
Or mai bohot acha(masculine) ho.
BUT, ham bohot achei(plural) ho is correct if you represent a group.
Also, in Urdu, we have the word, P. In Arabic i don't think its there. So how do you pronounce Pakistan in Arabic?? I heard its called "Bakistan".

Despite being a language that is easy to learn according to many, few resources in the English language for learning Urdu have been recommended by native speakers for doing so.
Sadly, that is true. I had to learn Urdu from my DAD due to few resources here.Originally Posted by Sunni_Student786

.
Urdu is not an easy language to learn, especially if you are a native English speaker. Urdu requires effort and practice to pick-up, especially the accent.
To make it even more tricky, Urdu incorporates masculine and feminine verb forms and adjectives and has an hierarchy of address which can change the way a sentence is constructed i.e. "aap", "tum", "tu" which all translate to "you" but in descending order of politeness.
Take away the masculine/feminine and hierarchy aspect and Urdu would be easy to master.
