Default ANSWERED: Loving Someone For The Pleasure Of Allah?

    As salaamu alaikum

What is meant by loving someone for the Pleasure of Allah? Does it mean choosing friends with good ahlaaq with the intention of emulating and learning from the good Islamic habits of the friend ( and in doing so please Allah)? I have never fully understood what Loving Someone For The Pleasure Of Allah means

    JazakAllahu Khairun
    Was salaam
"Alam ya’lam bi an-nal laha yaraa"

Translation--> "Does he not know that verily Allah is watching"

    (Surah 96 Verse 14).

in a nutshell"to do good to those that have done good to you is easy but to do good to those whom you dislike and would not easily forgive is the higher quality.a brother has harmed you do you give equal back, forgive ,or give good in return.its not easy.

Ok this is what the hadeeth means.
Firstly it happens most of the time that we love some one for some reason. Like some one has wealth and thats why a person likes the wealthy person, or because of beauty or fame and so on.
But the hadeeth is trying to say, love some one (a good person) for the sake of allah alone.
say for instance a person loves allah, now you should love that person for the sake of allah because he loves allah. There shouldnt be any 'garz' in it.
The books give examples of two sheikhs. One from syria while the other from japan. They both love each other for Allah alone. Because they both see good in each other.
Duh Am I messing it up/
    Hope you get me.
when you love some one, love them for allah. not for any worldly reasons.

Also some people love other good peole or sheikhs becasue they want to become famous with them/like them. But hadeeth means love for allah alone.

Love the particular person with the reason that Allah will be happy.

Find no other reason to love that person. For example loving someone for wealth or ash ADIDAS mentioned for worldly reasons.

Just love em so Allah becoms happy.

If you love for his sake what do you love for? His pleasure? or otherwise?

Maybe same thing but different way of saying it?

    Assalamu alaikum wr wb

Erm here's my attempt at trying to reply to this...insha'Allah it'll be a good enough reply...

    Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem.

Loving someone for the Pleasure of Allah swt is something that you do for the sake of Allah swt, you love someone for that is pleasing to Allah swt. Allah loves those who are helpful to each other and not only do they help themselves in increasing their deen and keeping on the right path but that they also look out for their brothers and sisters in islam in advising them and helping them, and being there for them. With that it means that you are understanding and patient towards each other and that you give them the benefit of the doubt, and overlook their faults and mistakes and realize that we as humans are bound to make mistakes and faults and this shouldn't necessary be a big deal like a lot of people make it out to be. We are muslims afterall and we are taught to be like the people in the time of the Prophet SAW, we are told to be like the Companions (RA) of the Prophet SAW.
Masha'Allah, they were not only committed in their faith, belief and trust and remembrance in Allah swt, but they were the living example of a simple way of life as well as realizing that this life is only a test, temporary state and that the eternal life was ahead and in order to get there they had to strive and struggle and past the tests that they were given, good and bad. In the end though they all came from Allah swt.

You have to do all these for the sake of Allah swt, and for His Approval, His Pleasure. You love someone for that reason, and that there's a hadith of the Prophet SAW in where whatever you love for yourself you should love the same for your brother and sister.... So if you want success and happiness in your life, then you should wish for the same for your brother and sister... and if you wish to have good knowledge in your deen and stick to your faith and hope you remember Allah at all times, then you wish the same for your brother and sister in islam. You want to protect them from harm as you protect yourself or try to protect yourself from harm, same you should try for your bro and sis in islam as this is loving someone for the sake or pleasure of Allah swt.

In achieving these you have to embrace Allah swt, know His Signs, believe in them, and worship and obey Allah swt.
By doing all of this you end up fulfilling one of your duties as a Muslim believer and that is loving someone for the sake / pleasure of Allah swt.

    Allahu Alim

p.s. i hope that was ok... if not..i apologize if i have offended you in any way and all good is from Allah, and all mistakes in this is from me alone...
JazakuAllahkhairun.. for reading.. and having understanding and patience with me.. even though its sarcastic most of the time...may Allah guide us and protect us, as well as Ramadan Mabrook!
