Salaam, Just wanted to point out- The Prophet's Family and companions at that time were not just your ordinary PIOUS people, because the PIOUS people of today do not know their destiny nor do they know whether they will end up in paradise or Hell..

However, they and we know that all of them will enter paradise as ALLAH SWT has given them many titles, like for example, Aisha RA is the MOTHER OF ALL BELIEVERS and The Prophets Grandson is the leader of the youth in PARADISE, and the COMPANIONS ARE COMPANIONS OF JANNAH we already they will inshaAllah be granted the highest place in HEAVEN,

do me or the PIOUS PEOPLE OF TODAY know where they are heading??? No we do not, and for that reason, why should we not give them that status because they are special people and they should be ranked higher than me and you. By believing that they are special or giving them that extra respect is not harram.

Forgive me for the sake of ALLAH SWT if I have said anything wrong, He will punish me accordingly, for my shortcomings.

Instead of confusing yourself with so many views from comparative laymen try to look at it in with simplicity. The truth is always simple and obvious that is the way Allah Intended it .

Why do we love the prophet ? Because Allah loves him the most and the prophet his most
precious Rahma and Baraka on all of human kind. He has given his love to us through his most
