No, this is not the response nor a way to resolve the conflict.

It's only to say that it's illogical and even dishonest (I'm not accusing you) for Salafi inclined people to complain and moan once that those who they have calumniated slandered and "refuted" for many years finally wake up and simply fire back.

Complain about the reaction without admitting who raised the whole problem to begin with, is simply dishonest and pathetical.
Again brother Quandary, I'm not talking about you specifically: I love your posts and read them with pleasure; it's that I've just had this exact discussion yesterday with another brother.

And the extraordinarily tiny minority of mis-guided individuals who hold the position you are speaking about, is precisely that-a minority among the minority! I guarantee you that you will find no such statements even from Shaikh al-Albani, that following a mad'hab is shirk, without extrapolating onto his words realities that are not there. And you will find thousands of statements to the contrary from every other Shaikh who ascribes himself or is ascribed to the movement in question.

It remains the fact that - even thought most of the Salafi scholar have been considerably more balanced - the vast majority of Salafi laymen which brang in almost any family big fitnas and accusations are the responsible for all this, and they can't cry out loud once that "our scholars" finally wake up and started smashing their arguments.
If they do cry out load and invoke respect for "differences of opinions", I feel it simply logical to call them double-standard dishonest.

That's why I call it a "reaction".

Had the Salafis not started all of this calling people to stop making taqlid of the four "mistaken" "divisive" school in order to follow the only scholars who correctly got "Qu'ran and Sunnah" Islam, now no scholar (and even laymen) would humiliate them badly.

Ultimately Sh. Abul Hasan is only defending the opinion of a number of Salaf. And when there is so much garbage being thrown against it, there must be those willing to defend it.

Mashallah! I spoke to Shaykhina Abul Hasan saheb, hafizahullah,today on how the book on where the hands should be placed and he told me that he has a long way to go yet.. But, he has nearly completed the tahqiq of the narration found in some copies in the Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba from Wa'il (ra) with the ziyada - under the navel - in some 50 pages alone... This indicates that this work will be several hundred pages long and he said that it will contain insha'allah, digital images of evidences from the original manuscripts that have taken several years of hard work to gather.

May Allah make it easy..
