I almost got shot!!!

Man, my life almost flashed before my eyes!!

I was sitting at my local bus stop(almost in front of my house), waiting for the bus to come and so i can collect my sis.

At around 3.05, a mini-white van parked right in front of me- about 3 metres away.

And the driver(whites) shouted "hey mate", and so i looked up and replied "yeah". I thought he's probably asking directions... The sun was right in my face until now so i couldn't see much.

But then when i could see clearly, i saw the guy sitting next to the driver pointing a gun at around my head!!! And the driver said "shoot him", (in all the moment of shock at whats happening??) i quickly dashed behind the bus stop which was made of glass.

Some cars arrived behind the van so the stinking van(and those guys) made a runner.

But the sad thing is, that in all the shock i was in, i failed to look at the back of the van and its number plate!!!

Now what am i to tell the police??

I can't thank Allah Taa'la enough!!! Its the second time he's saved me from sudden death, Allhumdulilah.

The other thing i've been wondering about is that at that moment i was wearing a Ta'wiz(Allah's Names) and was readin Durood upon the Best of Creation(SAW)- the Qasida Burdah one.

Its amazing, Allah Taa'la truely SAVED me man. I should be very grateful to Him(SWT) for that.

It really makes me think, what would i have said to Allah Taa'la if i had returned to Him(SWT) today?? I couldn't have said "the reason my sins outweigh my little good is because kafir killed me too early or that i didn't have a natural death".

One more thing, would i have been a Shahid if i was killed because of that??

Surely for Allah Taa'la alone we live and die. In His Hands is life.

Allah Hafiz, Alhamdulilah nothing happened. Well if you don't have the plate number maybe you can just describe the van and the men to the police. Any information is better than nothing at all.

You must be thankful to Allah Almighty for giving you a new life. I have read somewhere that donating something out of our resources/salary to the poor and needy helps in averting the worries, problems and unforeseen. Sure you would be doing it already, but just a thought and a suggestion. May you live long (Ameen).

Please inform the police and your neighbours. Get an announcement done in mosque perhaps. The same people might try to shoot someone else...

I was wearing normal clothes, only my face would give me away as Asian.

I haven't contacted the police, but might. The Mosque is too far away.

We're thinking of informing the local schools that are nearby and maybe neighbours.

bro you should report it. ive been in a similar situation myself, had a gun held to my head once, alhamdulillah i wasnt hurt (not that my employers even bothered to check ) when i look back at that and think, it never even occured to me to make dua or even say the shahadah. it certainly makes you more conscious of Allah and the akhirah. now any time i feel threatened i'm out with 'ha mim la yunsaroon' !!!!!!!

Allahu alam, i've come to look at it now as a positive thing. I was working in a subpost office where majority of what i sold was just cigarettes. i would get fevers and colds often, a pervert would come into the shop a lot, and i still didnt take the hint. it took that incident to make me quit and I thank Allah i got out when i did and that He stopped me from getting hurt and has made me think more of Him

bro you still have a description of the vehicle/driver and its possible that other witnesses could have got more detail so report the incident, these people need to be caught. it might just be a replica gun and they were just trying to scare you but you never know.

I agree with the sister above...it may have simply been a replica gun or even an airgun...even police find it hard to differentiate between the two on the streets these days.
There are a lot of people who enjoy frightening others by flashing guns/replicas and firing off air pellets.
Even though firing air pellets at someone is still illegal i suppose if it was an air gun they pointed at you "for a laff" it sort of makes you feel better that it wasn't a real gun and they weren't gunning for your life, but simply trying to make you jump.
