    Default a convo with nonmuslims

    Assalamu Alaikum

Sometimes i have a conversation with nonmuslims and they say " you say God is the most merciful ok then why does HE punishe us as we just do not believe in HIM?, I am being such a great person, all i do is just not believe in HIM."

i just say one thing "if you are really such a great person, then Allah will honour you with islam"

what do you think of it?

    jazakallah

imagine a son who denies his father his rights, he rejects him, disobeys him, ignores him but outside the house hell give in charity, hell offer salat, hell fast every other day.

his father wil dislike him regardless of these good deeds, now imagine the state of those 'great' people who do less good deeds then that and deny not just a human being but their Creater, the Lord of the Worlds, their situation is infinitly worse.

    Default salam

but akhi he will say GOD is the most merciful one, and he does not need anything, you are telling right things but how can you say after explaining all of them to a nonmuslim? there could be a contradiction in his mind, GOD is the most merciful, so he will forgive me, cause i have just one fault that is not to believe in HIM.

maybe if a revert brother or sister joins this thread, he/she can explain in a better way

and also it is really hard to give dawah to youth as worldly life seems so beautiful, they do not wanna leave it.

lets try to find better dawah methods

Allah is merciful but also most just. In terms of creed, whatever Allah does is just. He can do whatever he wills and does not have to do anything.
