Hajj Du`as

Insha Allah I am going to Hajj this year. We have reserved but we are having some major problems with some things not going as planned. Please make du`a for it to go smoothly.

Anyway, if you do make du`a for it to work out and for me to go to Hajj, insha Allah I will make du`as for you in the haram, or on `Arafat, or in the Prophet's mosque. There is no gaurantee. I might never make one du`a for you. I don't want to say I will make everyone's du`a and then not be able to like do them all.

So just make a list of du`as here and give me your name son of your mother's name. Then tell me what you want me to make du`a for. Insha Allah I will make that du`a for you, and most likely insha Allah your du`a will be made, so don't worry, but like I said no gaurantee so you can't say anything against me on qiyama if I don't!

How about you just do dua for all the SF members instead of going one by one??

You asked me to make dua for you when I went last year, which I did. So please make sure to make a dua for me when you go.

May Allah make it easy for you and your family to perform your obligation of Hajj.

Please make dua for Dawood Herring and his family (mother, sisters, wife) for good in this life, but especially in the Aakhirah and for success on Qiyamah. For victory over my nufs, and ask Allah to give hidayah to the rest of my family (dad, grandmothers, (some of my) sisters, aunts/uncles, etc).

Dawood what du`a did you make for me? Do you have any advice?

I have a final on the day I am supposed to fly to Hajj, which cannot be changed. Thus, we have to change my flight -- but I think the Hajj guy already bought the tickets. In other trouble my dad and brother have not got their tickets yet, but they payed the money, and we cannot go to Hajj "together" because of some problems.

Insha Allah I will be able to go, without missing my test, and with my whole family. My cousin lives in Madina so I can't wait for that.

Insha'a Allah this is khair for you - it is from Allah.

I also went for Hajj alone and Wallahi, I met and spent my time with the most amazing people I have ever met.

One think you must have heard often is that Hajj requires a lot of sabr. I hope and pray to Allah that I have sabr, but you won't imagine how much you actually need... may Allah give you sabr in your Hajj.

Listen to people when they advise about good and bad timings for doing events such as jamarat, etc. It can cost you your life, it almost cost the life of the group I was in, but managed to escape with only an amazing story, 500 others died, shuhada, insha'a Allah.

Don't waste ANY time to make dua from the time you leave your home. Wallahi, every dua I made on the trip even the simple ones were answered. For example: On my first plane ride to Chicago, I asked, "Oh Allah, let me sit next to a Muslim, and not by a woman." The only other muslims were a man and his wife and daughter - somehow (by the Will of Allah) they had separate setting, the wife and daughter in front, the man beside me. We had excellent inspiring conversation during the entire flight. But this is just the first thing, so many others I can't comprehend.

Dont forget us all in your Duas it will be an experience you will never forget. and dont worry its good to go alone, on the day of judgement we will meet Allah SWT alone as well, although in Hajj how can you be alone there are Millions of Haajis there with you all saying Labayk Allahumma Labayk

One more piece of advice I remember getting is to not look at any photos of the Kabah in the time before your trip. They say it taints your experience of seeing it in person.

Does anyone know of a book or online resource which has a list of du'a specifically for Hajj or 'Umra.

three main things, make us poius and never let us go astray, good niseeb, and let us be granted jannatul fardus on maqamei mahmud. Insh'Allah.

for the Ummah, and then these things listed above...or wahtever may be similar insh'allah
may allah accept ur hajj and may you return improved by the barakh of our holy cities.
