Don't ask people to interpret your dreams. Don't tell your dreams to anyone. A dream is like a bird, the way people interpret them usally play out in real life. Please keep your dreams secret and ignore them and just read the du`as that our Prophet taught us to say after you have bad dreams. Then they insha Allah won't harm anyone. Dreams can be from Shaytan and others to just scare you.

Please close this thread so that nobody can interpret this.

Bad dreams should be kept secret.

Likely nobody here is qualified to interpret a dream, but why shouldn't dreams be interpreted, sidi Omar?

    salaam

I heard that it's not good to interpret a bad dream because that opens the doors for it to come true. What if we write down our bad dreams in a diary?

And does that mean that it's good to tell others about our good dreams?

From sunnipath in response to a question about a girl having nightmares:
She and her household members need to take care to be regular and consistent in their prayers; to repent from sinful activity; and to recite at least a little Qur'an each day, preferably out loud.

With that, they should try to play the Qur'an in the house during the day. At night, your neice should go to sleep in a state of wudu, thanking Allah for all His blessings. The light of obedience and remembrance of Allah keeps away the Shaytan.

Then, if bad dreams occur, she should just blow lightly to her left side, and to know that such dreams can't harm her--rather, she should just seek refuge in Allah from the Shaytan (saying A`udhu billahi min ash-shaytanir rajeem) and do a little dhikr (such as Alhamdulillah, repeatedly).

And Allah alone gives success and He alone grants protection.

    And Allah alone gives success.

    Faraz Rabbani
+4 quls + ayatul kursi +surah fatihah. recite them before going to bed then blow onto your hands and rub over your body 3 times.
    inshallah that will stop nightmares

1 thing i also saw in GH is that one who does the ishraq salat (a nafl salat after sunrise and before midday) every day, they are given so much noor that it burns any shayatin nearby. you might try that as well.

A dream should only be intepreted by a dream Shaykh who is qualified.

The Prophet Muhammad , his Sahaba, and the scholars of this Ummah have taught us that the dream is like a bird -- however it is interpreted is however it falls.

Don't worry about dreams, they are just dreams. One of the tricks of Shaytan is to make people dream junkies. Shaytan is very clever in his tricks and even the best of us can fall if we are not always on the watch out. He knows how we work and he tries his hardest in the most unexpecting of ways to intice despair of Allah, security from Allah, and even disbelief in Allah into our hearts.

For this reason we need to be continually turning to Allah and thanking him for his blessings and asking him to help us and save us from the evil of our own souls.

    Was Salam.
