visiting a mosque

one of my best doctors who is a muslim has invited me to a mosque. the questions i have are.

1 the mosque has visitor day once a month on friday. i would like to go during a regular prayer service [ to get the true feeling if you know what i mean ] would it be rude to ask this ?

2 my other doctor is a muslim women i would like her to go with me too. is this not allowed?

my doctors know that i am a person of the book. i think they just want me to understand islam more.

The mosque I visit allows people of any religion to come to the mosque at any time. We do not have any specific days for visistors.

I do not think there would be a problem if you attended the mosque at any other time than the visitor times. I am sure they would be more than welcome for you to go down and ask questions.

Some mosques allow women to attend - usually accomadated by having a seperate womens section. If you do attend with your female doctor - I believe that you may not be permitted the womens section.

Therefore it would be advisable for you to attend the mosque with your male doctor and it not be rude for you to ask this.
