Assalaamu alaikum
I would like to remind all brothers and sisters of the following insha'allah:
Surah Al-Hujuraat (49: 8 - 12)
" A favour and a blessing from Allah
and Allah is All-Knowing and Wise.
And if the two factions of the Believers fight
you should make peace between them.
But if one of them continues to wrong the other
fight the transgressor until they return to Allah's command.
If they then do so, make a just peace between them
for verily, Allah loves the just ones.
Verily the Believers are brothers
so make peace between your two brothers
that perhaps you may receive mercy.
O Believers! People should not scorn others
for perhaps they may be better than them.
Neither should women scorn other women for
perhaps they may also be better than them.
You should not discredit each other nor abuse each other
with nicknames. The worst of titles is that of "Immorality"
after that of "Belief", and whoever does not repent is truly an oppressor."
This surah requires much understanding and consideration especially in the Ummah of today where we see much division, lack of the concept of unity or mercy between our hearts.
Islam is a learning curve - we are learning from the moment we are born alhamdulillah and some of us get set back on our paths by outside means. Others stop dead in their tracks, ponder, pause or return to the beginning through their own fault. None of us are invincible and all of us are constantly learning whoever we are and we should have mercy on one another and pull each other along...what is a journey without a companion to light your way? a lonely one indeed.
Jabir b. Abdullah said that Rasulullah saw said : "Allah is not merciful to whim who is not merciful to people ". ( Bukhari, Muslim )
From Anas : Rasulullah saw said : "By Him in whose hand is my soul, a servant (of Allah) does not believe (truly) until he likes for his brother what he likes for himself ". ( Bukhari, Muslim )
From Anas : Rasulullah saw said : " Make thing easy, and do not e make them difficult, and give good tidings and do not make people run away" ( Bukhari )
Abdullah b. Umar ra said that Rasulullah saw said : " The best companion with Allah swt is he who behaves best to his companion, and the best neighbour with Allah swt is he who behaves best to his neighbour " ( Tirmidhi )
May Allah swt guide us all.
Salaams
