I was inquiring about the book heavenly ornaments (Bahishti Zewar) by Maulana Muhammad Ashraf Ali Thanwi . Is geared towards women seems to mention this fact several times in little amount of the book I'v read so far?

Yes, mostly its for women but men can also benefit from it, must have for every Muslim sister. (Hanafis). Usually back home, mothers give this book to their daughters when they get married.

Although Beheshti Zewar was aimed at women, the vast majority of the laws mentioned with in it are applicable to men aswell. I read some where that Mufti Shafi (RA) used to keep the book next to his bed and would read it every night before sleeping.
These days, most of the publishers add footnotes to the book, clarifying the laws where needed and also explaining in the process which laws are applicable to women and what the alternative is for men where neccessary.
