Tell me how to memorize quran

can anyone tell me how to memorize quran i want to become hafizul quran . i m 18 yrs old. m i too old to do this? does anyone have cds of quran with arabic, urdu and english text with tafsir and explanation.can anyone send me cds free of cost. plz . may allah reward him or her for this purpose. jazakallah khair.

No limit to age, of course, I started when I was 17...finished at 21, so it is never too late. I can send you anything you really need if you are focused, that is not a big problem. More than happy to. But I suggest that you learn from a teacher, it will definitely be easier and effective. If you get a teacher or someone in your area who is able to teach you, that would be great.

Well you could instead of waiting for a CD or something, just download MP3s of the net....if you want JUST recitation.......go to

has all the qari's, i think, and they are all downloadable. I think it has Tafsir ones too, but make sure you press ENGLISH because the site loads with Arabic first.
but there is so much to download brother . that's y i m asking for cds
not really, you can finish it in like 20 mins, but if it is a really big problem then I can arrange something..

You can go to www.reciter.org and click on reciter and than listen to the reciter recite the Quran word by word there is no need for download it just streams.
If you have cable modem I can give you a link to a Qari who is teaching a class and perhaps you can join his class for free all you have to do is DOWNLOAD the videos piece by piece... they are each about 6 to 9 mb.
