Seems the Jumhur agrees that Raheem means 'Merciful'.
    Coolness...

    Sidi.
I hope non-arabic speakers can make use of the transliteration as well.

I think that was the first Ayah (literally) and the last Ayah they all agreed on...

Assalamu 'alaykum Wa Rahmathullah Wa Barakathuhu

I would be very careful with some of the translations, such as the translation by Rashad Khalifa- isn't he the one who denied the last verses of Surah At-Tawbah and was of the Submitters sect?

    Wasalam.

Good point. Go with what the majority of the translators have mentioned. It's a very good tool for research though. Especially for people who understand Arabic and looking for that perfect word.

JazakAllah Khaira. Provided you are careful about which translation you use, it is an excellent research tool. This website also has excellent material: http://www.quranexplorer.com/quran/
