Nawawi.org did a tour in 2004, they visited a number of interesting places. I think you can still access which sites were visited and for what reason.
Haji Abdullah's place is a nice place to taste ottoman cuisine near/in Taksim square, Istanbul.

    Asalaam Alaykum

    Good Turkish Food

    Topkapi Palace

    Blue Mosque

    Galipolee war memorial

    nice clean place to stay

musuems etc.... maybe boat ride on bosphorus.

Make it like copying normal tours for westerners except for Muslims with an Islamic slant. I dont suggest anything to do with Mustafa Kemal unless it is of signifiance to our Islam.

    Default Turkey Backpacking!

    Asslamo Allaikum Brother,

    I LOVE Turkey!

    1) Edirne
    2) Istanbul
    3) Konya
    4) Tarsus
    5) Ephesis
    6) Izmir
    7) Antalya

I don't have a map in front of me so someone can put these in the right order of distance and priority.

    Tashakur & Gulay Gulay!

    Salam alaikoum ;

Bursa is nice with many old places to visit ; Canakkale is lovely . I think brother Neyzen that you have first to plan something ; a mix ... mosques , museeums historical places and maqams from some holy saints as well as some shouyoukhs like sheikh Ustaosmanoglü or sheikh Abdul Baqi or the son of Esad Hodja ... And kebabs , köftas of course ...

    Salam alaikoum
