    Default Differences in Madhabs

Is this following information correct? I say the sam as the maliki madhab.

    The Hanafis:
"attahiyyatu lillahi wassalawatu wattayyibatu wassalamu 'alayka ayyuha
annabiyyu warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu, assalamu 'alayna wa 'ala `abadillahi assaliheena, ash-hadu anna la ilaha illa Allah, waAsh-hadu
    anna Mohammmedan 'abduhu warasuluhu."

    The Malikis:

"Attahiyyatu lillah, azzakiyyatu lillah, attayyibatu assalawatu lillah.
Assalamu alayka ayyuha annabiyyu warahmatu allahi wabarakatuhu,

    The Shafi'is:
"Attahiyyatu almubarakatu assalawatu attayyibatu lillah, assalamu
'alayka ayyuha annabiyyu warahmatu allahi wabarakatuhu, assalamu alayna
wa 'ala 'abadi allahi assalaiheena. Ash-hadu anna la ilaha illa Allah,
wa ash-hadu anna sayyidana muhammadan rasulu Allah."

    The Hanbalis:
"Attahiyyatu lillahi wa-assalawatu wa-attayyibatu. assalamu 'alayka ayyuha annabiyyu warahmatu allahi wabarakatuhu, assalamu alayna wa 'ala
'abadi allahi assalaiheena. Allahumma salli ala Muhammadin."

With regards to salah, wudu and possibly everyday situations; which madhab does the most similar things to sunnah of the prophet muhammed (saw)?

All 4 are authentic.. The difference in principles of fiqh result in difference of conclusion. All have their respective Dalail from the four sources of Sharia.

All four madhabs strive to keep the to Sunnah of Muhammad (saw). Although there may be differences, they all fall under the Sunnah, with each madhab having their own respective evidences.

The maliki one is slightly different from what I was taught. The one from the Risala is the same as the one I was taught. The only real difference is the addition of wadahu la sharika lah. Here it is:

    Default Hanafi Tashahud

    Asslamo Allaikum Brother,

    Slightly related to your topic:

The hadeeth below is also in Sahih Bukhari but I can't find it right now, so here is the version from Sahih Muslim (the wording in Bukhari/Muslim is verbatim to what Hanafees read!):

Chapter 14: THE TASHAHHUD IN PRAYER
    Book 004, Number 0793:

'Abdullah (b. Mas'ud) said: While observing prayer behind the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) we used to recite: Peace be upon Allah, peace be upon so and so. One day the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said to us: Verily Allah is Himself Peace. When any one of you sits during the prayer. he should say: All services rendered by words, by acts of worship, and all good things are due to Allah. Peace be upon you,0 Prophet, and Allah's mercy and blessings. Peace be upon us and upon Allah's upright servants, for when he says this it reaches every upright servant in heaven and earth (and say further): I testify that there is no god but Allah and I testify that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. Then he may choose any supplication which pleases him and offer it.

No. There is an added wadahu la sharika lah in the version I was taught which is what was related from Umar in the Muwatta of Imam Malik. Here I will put it again with the additional words in bold:

    Hope that helps.

    Asslamo Allaikum Maulana,

Can I say Hanafi Madhab is the CLOSEST to Qur'aan & Sunnah or would I get banned from the forum?
