    Default Madrassahs in NA/UK?

    Assalamualaikum,

I'm thinking of going to a Madrassah for an Alim course, are there any good madrassahs in Canada? Or the UK?

Can people list the Madrassahs' ph., e-mail, teachers, and anything else they know about it.

I have already contacted Mufti Adam's Madrassah in Leciester.

    **PASS THE WORD**

    Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) said:

"Seeking knowledge is a mandate for every Muslim (male and female)."
    Just to add...

Men should encourage their wives, brothers should encourage their sisters to learn the deen of Allah.

*Aisha (radialaahu anha) she had one of the most narrations from the Prophet salalaahu alaihi wa salaam).

*Fatimah Bintul-Mundir:- Her husband was a scholar and one of the people he learned from was his wife fatimah). They were first cousins and she was 13years older than he was.

*At-Daahabi (hafidullah): - Fatimah bint Ibrahim: she was one of the Nobel scholars, she was a righteous woman and she was a narrated from in saheeh Muslim and Bukaree.

*Hadiya Bint Ali- She was narrated from, she was also very poor and a woman of ibaadah. She also gave lessons.

*At-Dahabi (hadifullah) he gave the same praises to the woman as he did to the men.

Not only did these Righteous and great woman get narration’s they gave narration’s.

May Allah gives us the power and might to be like these great female scholars. Ameen!

Darul uloom al arabiyyah al Islamiyyah, in Bury, Lancashire North England is very good, some good ulama have graduated from here and it is very nicely situated- quite rural.

Also from what I have heard Dewsbury Markaz has got a very good darul uloom- apparently more stricter than Bury according to my cousin who studies at Bury, their graduates are more low profile too.

For the sisters there is one in Bradford West Yorkshire affiliated to Bury.

    ^How can I contact DarulUloom-ul-Arabiyya-AlIslamiyya?

    There's no info on inter-islam.org.

DarulUloom-al-In'aamiyyah in South Africa is pretty good. But the problem is that I have no relatives in SA that I can visit, whereas in the UK I have my uncles living.

There are a few in North America that I'm aware of.

The one I spent close to 10 years in is Al-Rashid Islamic Insitute in Cornwall, Ontario. It was founded by the order of Hazrat Sheikh Maulana Zakariya (RA) and is now run by one of his close khalifahs. I can give you every single detail about this one, including how many windows there are on each floor.

Darul Uloom Bowmanville near Toronto, Canada www.darululoom.ca www.alimahprogram.org

Darul-Uloom Al-Madania is in Buffalo, NY (has alimah program as well), as well as the Institute of Islamic Education in Elgin, IL.

There's one just outside of Vancouver, British Columbia, and another in Sacramento, CA, though I don't have many details on those.
