An Introduction to the Sciences of Hadith

These sessions aim to familiarize the student with the wide variety of techinical terms used in the field of hadith sciences. The text to be studied is the Baquniyya, a 34 line poem explaining over 30 techinical terms. Arabic/English copies will be provided for all registered students.
Shaykh Abdullah bin Hamid Ali is the first American to graduate from the Univerity of Qarawieen, in Fez, Morocco. In addtion to his university studies, he has studied with many of the leading scholars in Morocco.
Shaykh Abdullah teaches various Islamic disciplines in Philadelphia. He has recently released a translation of Ibn Jawzi's text on Hanbali Aqida, titled Attributes of God. Many of his other publications are available at www.lamppostproductions.org
