The Blessings of Allah (say Alhamdulillah!)

Allah ta'Ala tells us that if we were to try and enumerate His blessings upon us we would NEVER be able to enumerate them....in fact we would tire and have to give up and admit defeat.

Sooo many favours....sooo little recognition and gratitude.

As He (azza wa jall) informs us...."Be grateful to me...and I will grant you more!"

and if all the seas were ink and all the trees were made into writing implements we would still NEVER be able to praise our lord enough with our words!

Allahu Akbar, Lord of the Mighty Throne!

i thought it would be good for our iman if we attempted to list the blessings that we recognise collectively so as to be a source of gratitude to our Lord and a heart strengthener for us in times of neglect.
    Alhamdulillah at ALL times....

    -----------------

    1. Alhamdulillah for the eyes we have been blessed with....or even the one eye we may have...without which we would never have been able to read these words

    2. Alhamdulillah for the mind that He has blessed us with....He has given us a choice of whether or not to contribute or to hold back...to benefit or to harm...the choice is ours...a big responsibility and blessing

    AssalaamuAlaikum wr wb,

    Good post Brother cantthinkofausername! MashaAllah.

Human nature is more critical than appreciative. We find fault, blame others, and talk badly of others more than we do compliment, or praise others. We complain and whine and woe more than appreciate. We see the glass as half empty rather than half full. If you really think about all the things we have to be thankful for, the list is endless... We shouldn't take anything for granted. Seeing those less fortunate makes you appreciate what we have. Seeing the sick makes us appreciate our health.

Id like to say ALHUMDILLILAH for…
    1. the opportunities available to me by being born in the UK, ie the opportunity to seek higher education, free public education
    2. the freedom to live our life free of terror or fear, the relative freedom of expression
    3. parents who encouraged me to become educated and stressed deen
    4. having two parents who are alive and together
    5. lack of physical deformities
    6. lack of extreme physical extremes, too short, too tall, too big, too thin
    7. having brothers and sisters
    8. the ability to hear and see
    9. the ability to walk on two legs, and having two arms
    10. the ability to enunciate clearly
    11. having a stable job
    12. being born into Islam
    13. the ability to read and write
    14. lack of poverty
    15. lack of inherited or acquired illness

    wasalaamualaikum wr

The biggest, most greatest ni'mah (blessing) is being a Muslim, Alhamdulillah, for which we should be forever grateful/thankful to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'aala.
