How is Imam Mahdi(r.a) different from the prophets(peace be upon them)

Thanks, i now understand the difference between the mahdi(r.a) and the prophets(pbut). My last question 2 questions are the following, anyone may answer:

1) Is it islamic belief that only prophets recieve Wahy? I think the answer is yes but i'm not sure


2) If it is only prophets that recieve Wahy, what do you then think of 'Mushaf Fatima'. I heard the shia's claim that fatima(r.a) wrote down things she heard from an angel, isn't this wahy? I would particularly like shia's to comment on their beliefs regarding this book.
