The title of this thread upsets me, firstly if you know about sirah then you should know this event, as it is considered in extensive detail. Islam is perfect, those who try to corrupt it always fail. the shia being formost in their efforts, and not getting anywhere.

What an outlandish website, i thought the salafi sect was just a phase younguns go thru.

It is not a salafi site..they are far from it they are just muslims who like to approach certain ahadeeth with a critical thinking mind.

It is interesting to note that you havent even bothered to read the Q&A this is so typical of salafis and salafi minded sunni muslims...Firstly the title of this thread is the same on that website , I didnt make it up..and then the answer is given.. a much better answer than you'll ever find in any other website..if the sunnis continued on this approach then maybe such fabricated reports can be gotten rid of..so this means less amminution for the shias to use in their ridiculous cat fights with the sunnis.

first of all, my anger is not with you but simply with the title of the thread, which i see is from the site. Khair, i am probably the least Salafi minded person on this entire forum. Getting Sirah from websites is in itself the problem, for not studying with the Ulema-e-Kiram (DB) will lead to failure. I like Khanbaba's post.

I have heard this said so many time.. 'Don't talk about this..until you have studied with an alim..ulema..I'm so annoyed by this. I don't need to study with ulema to know every detail of Islam thats why Allah furnished us with a wonderful mind and thats why we have common sense..the books are there, the materials are out there I can help myself. Most of us ..I'd say the overwhelming majority of Muslims dont have access to a personal alim who would tutor them in the more pressing and important issues of Islam ..it's important to educate ourselves and if we get stuck then and only then we should ask those who know.
