Marriage in a Church

Salam

I am 21 and recently (in feb) got married to a catholic women, in a mosque (i.e. islamically).

However, she wants to have a church wedding in a couple years time when we legally are married by british law. I have semi agreed, with a great feeling of shame as i am a follow my religion as best i can. Also, she did marry me in a mosque so its hard for me to say no (she is the boss in our marriage ).

However, i have recently heard from someone that it may be infact forbidden to marry inside a church. If so, then obvously i cannot get married in a church. Is this true? Please answer with credible answers (i.e. not personal opinions).


P.S. Please do not mention the religion of our future kids! About every muslim and his camel asks me about that after they congratulate me on getting married. They will be muslim, end of story!

This fatwa is about a Muslim marrying a Catholic in a Church.

It is impermissible to for a Muslim to get married in a church--because of the dislikedness of entering churches, and the impermissibility of participating in the religious ceremonies of others.

Why would you marry a kafir? It just creates problems, and theres plenty of muslim women around.
