I extracted this from his book (Compendium of the words of Zikrullah - Guldasta-e-Azkar)

    ------------------------------

The Author of the book Maulana Muhammad Qamaruzzaman Allahabadi is one of the most reputed scholars, teachers and eminent spiritual mentors of Muslim India. The Maulana is held in high veneration by the entire Muslim India, Pakistan, African countries, Canada, Britain and America. Born in 1933, he received his primary and secondary education at Karisath of Mau district, U.P. (India), and pursued his higher Arabic and religious knowledge, endowing all his best capabilities for this noble goal.

He was fortunate enough to attract a great Divine favor upon himself. It was his attachment with a very eminent man of spirituality, the late Maulana Shah Wasiullah Allahabadi, a very high profile Khalifa of Hazrat Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanawi. Thanks to his inner capabilities and a true thirst for spiritual perfection, the Maulana soon attracted great deal of Maulana Allahabadi's attention, so much so that he gave his daughter in his marriage in 1951. Then the Maulana completed his higher religious studies under the Shah's direct teachership.

Maulana Muhammad Qamaruzzaman is devotedly engaged in the service of Islamic knowledge , social reform, Dawah and spiritual upbringing of the Ummah. Tens of thousands of Muslims are attached to him, seeking their spiritual upliftment. Since 1992 the Maulana regularly holds the Itikaf during the blessed month of Ramazan in the large masjid of the Darul Uloom Kantharia, Bharuch, (Gujrat), where countless people from Gujrat and outside benefit from his companionship and admonitory talks. More often, he undertakes trips to African countries and Britain at the invitation of the people attached to his fold.

Sr.caribbeansista, How was the turnout for the Shaykh's talks?

Also curious, what language was the talk? Was it first in Urdu first and then an English translation?
