    Default Indian Sahabi

Assalamualaikum so I was reading this article about Islam in Bangladesh and there is a clear listing of Sahabi that went to India after the death of the prophet to preach Islam before any kind of military or violent campaigns to the continent. I was wondering, was there ever an Indin sahab in Arabia during the time of the Prophet, and also who were the sahabi who went to India?

I don't know if there was a country called "India" at the time of Rasulullah .

I do know of Salman Al-Farsi Radhiallahu 'anhu. He was Farsi.

Default no sahaba came to india

From my family tree I have spoken to my grandfather and father and writing of my ancestors they told me that when our beloved Nabee (saw) split the moon my ancestors were pundits in India They said that it was foretold and they journeyed to Saudi and they learned and studied. They came back to India to teach the people of India.

It is said that Malik bin Dinar (R.A) did indeed go to South India and that is how King Perumal converted to Islam. In fact King Perumal journeyed back to Arabia with Malik Bin Dinar, met the Holy Rasool (SAW) and his Sahabah along with his Hindu minister and on the way back to India died and was buried in Salalah, Oman.

I'm pretty sure he was the first military deligation although I have heard of sahabi that went as far as China and Khurasan.
