    Default The Noorani Qaida

    Salam Alaikum

Could anyone please give me some information regarding the Noorani Qaida

I've searched the internet. I found a ton of websites that sell it, but not much real information on it

I need Basic information, such as...

    the author
    when it was published
    why it was first published
which areas of the Muslim world is it most used in

    stuff like that...

Strange thing, I was reading into this topic a few weeks ago. I managed to get hold of an Arabic version of the book, which included the author's biography in Arabic at the back. Apart from the Indo-Pak sub-continent, the book is also widely used in Saudi Arabia as well. In fact there are audio-tape versions of it there as well.

The author was from Ludhiana, Punjab (currently in Indian Punjab) and was a student of Mawlana Ahmed Ali Sahranpuri (who was one of the teachers of Mawlana Rashid Ahmed Gangohi and Mawlana Qasim Nanotwi). The author was also involved in the 1857 uprising and comes from a great scholarly line. His grandson was Mawlana Habibur Rahman Rais al-Ahrar (a graduate of Darul Uloom Deoband and someone close to Shaykh al-Hadith Mawlana Muhammad Zakariyyah). There's further details of him elsewhere. If I have time, I'll try translating the biography I have. It's very short.

Incidentally, Mawlana Ahmed Ali Saharanpuri was one of the scholars who was invited to the foundation laying ceremony for Darul Uloom Deoband.

i remember both of my brothers learned it before they started learning the quran..
i think they learn it so that u can pronounce the 'harakat' on the letters correctly ..
they learn so it can make it easier for them to read the difficult words in quran..

Sorry,, he wasn't directly involved in the 1857 war. His ancestors were though.

    Thank you all so much

Shamli1857, i'd really really appreciate it if you could just scan that biography onto the thread in it's original arabic, or attach it or something (if possible??)

While I was researching this, I came across something called the baghdadi qaidah. Apparently the noorani and the baghdadi are the two qaidahs that are used most widely in the world.

does anyone know the difference between them?

Insha Allah, I'll try. I don't have a scanner. Also, would be an idea to check Nuzhat al-Khawatir. There's a biography of the Shaykh in there.

    Salam Alaykum,

I am the teacher of Qur'an and I have many students study Qur'an with me for free. Totally FREE.

Why in the world you ask to pay money for teaching our holy book Qur'an while Christians and evangelists spread theirs for free?

The Islamic world if there exists any, is bloodily suffering.. and you do da'wa for money? Isn't there any other way to earn?

Anyway, I hate such actions and the actions of alike.
