Cool She's the love my life

She's the love of my life. She was there for me when no-one else was, she loved me and taught me what love is. I was alone and frightened and she comforted me. She laughs at my jokes, she ruffles my hair, she calls me sweet nicknames. I cant believe how amazing she is, nor how beautiful she looks. When I'm down she'll stroke my hair and ask me what's up; when Im tired she'll worry over me; when I cry she wipes away my tears and doesnt laugh at me. She smells so sweet, her touch eases away all my tension, her voice soothes me. She's my Maa.

What hasn't she done for me? She's the one who I learnt to breathe with when it was just me and Her, she's the one who I learnt to eat with when I had no mouth. She breathed and I learnt to breathe with her - my breaths are tied to her. She ate and the food came to me, I excreted and her body cleaned up after me. Men conquer mere kingdoms and leave these as inheritance but she gave one night in giving birth to me and granted me a whole world. I didn't know what was happening, but her body was doubled in pain to give me a whole Aalam.

When I was a baby she never slept until I had slept, she never ate until she had fed me. My Maa gave me her milk, she held me close and soothed me with her arms as my bed, my playground and my swing. I learnt to walk by holding her hand, when I fell she's the one who'd say Bismillah even before my chubby bum landed on the carpet. At night she'd put me on the dry portion of bed and sleep on the soiled part herself. She read me stories and lulled me untill I drifted off. Not one hair on my head was harmed whilst she watched over me. When I puked up, or messed up the bed she'd be the one to comfort me and tell me I'd be ok. SubhanALLAH.

When I learnt to speak - before saying Rabb I learnt to say Maa. She's the one who my ALLAH says if I want to please Him I have to do her khidmah. Whether they were Ghaws, Qutb, Abdaal, a Saalik or even Jhoole Lal - they all played in her lap. Even the Best of Creation was known as Amina ka Laal, Sayyidayn Hasnayn were the sons of Sayyidatuna Fatimah and so are the Grandsons of the Prophet . One look at Maa and I get the reward of Hajj of Baytulllah, subhanALLAH. My paradise lies at her feet, my comfort lies in her happiness.

I'm all grown up now. I can breathe and eat and look after myself. I can walk and run and cycle. I can wash myself and clean myself - but if it wasn't for my Maa I wouldnt have known any of this. Im alive because of her.

She taught me how to breathe, she taught me how to eat, she taught me how to look after myself. She's the love of my life.

I hope I remember all my Maa has done for me next time I scowl at her or speak rudely to her. I hope next time I remember what she gave to me when I was completely helpless and defenceless. I hope that next time her face draws creases due to stress I've caused - I remember how she never let any harm or worry or fear trouble me when I was a child. I hope I remember before it's too late.

Thats dead sweet. Imagine how it would be without one...Be greatful to Allah all the time, that he has blessed you with a 'Maa', because there are many people in the world who don't have one.

You will return to Him ALONE
Just like you came to the world ALONE

That is outstanding. Jazakallah for this lovely piece of writing. I could not have put it more beautifully if I'd tried.

I've just sent it to my non-Muslim mother, who I know will love it.

I totally agree... Its a shame though how very few realise the value of a mother.
