    What A Naat

    Salam alaikum

    Guys i need some assistance

i just found this naat on a brelwi website and i thought the naat was heavy... anyone got an mp3 audio version of this by anychance:

"Ye Karam He Huzur Ka Hum Par" sung by Tahir Riaz

[...if it's not allowed, then it's not allowed...]

I might get slated for recommending a brewli website..but i just want that 1 naat

I wouldn't discredit Barelwi sites across the board per se, just be careful of some of the content. Personally, I love naats, but after asking a Mufti, I stopped actively "promoting" that fact.

You can download the file and convert it to an mp3 yourself, no?

My speakers aren't working so I don't know what the naat actually is, but judging by the video, it doesn't at all seem 'right'.

Seems like a Orkavi-style hardcore Barewali gathering to me.

I haven't heard/seen it yet, but if it's non-bidah, and no-one else can, then I'll make it into an audio file for you on the weekend .

Why do they drop money on his head? I have seen many Barewalis do this, and they drop flowers, etc also.

    Asaalamu'alykum

The dropping of money is indeed a subject of great controversy amongst the 'ulama who participate and arrange such functions. Some say it is totally wrong regardless of the method. Others say there is no harm as long as one does it with respect i.e. do not throw the money rather give it in a more discreet manner. At the end of the day it is a case of inamal a'amaalu bi niyyat.

Also who is the naat by. I can't for some reason play it.

On the subject of na'ats has anyone heard the naats by the famous nasheed group Shaam. They are awesome. You can listen to a few samples on the following link:

Why does he keep on reapeating "zara PEECHAY WALAY bhe haath uthaa kar...."

    What's with the "peechay waly"?

Other than that, the naat is excellent.
