Bismihi Ta'ala
As-Salaamu ‘alaykum waRahmatullah
1.) Not sure if you would be interested in reading another book, but the following has, Alhamdulillah, benefitted, literally, hundreds of people – and Insha-Allah, will offer you too, a solution.
It is titled, “TAFWEEZ : THE CURE FOR DEPRESSION”
http://yunuspatel.co.za/books-tafweez.php
You could also listen to the talks “SABR AND HOPE”

2.) Dear Sister, this world is a world wherein we are all tested – each and every one of us. None of us escapes the tests of this world. …But Allah Ta’ala does not burden any servant more than he or she can bear. Allah Ta’ala states this explicitly:
“ ON NO SOUL DOES ALLAH PLACE A BURDEN GREATER THAN IT CAN BEAR…’
Moreover, our beloved Nabi (Sallallaahu ‘alayhi waSallam) said, in describing the Believer:
“The Mu`min (Believer) is indeed wonderful. When goodness comes to him, he praises Allah and offers shukr (gratitude), and when misfortune strikes him, he praises Allah and adopts sabr (patience).”
This is how we should be responding when bounties are showered upon us, as they are; and when challenges come our way.
It is an indictment against us, who claim to be Believers, if we are ungrateful where we should be grateful and if we are complaining and intolerant where we should be patient and forbearing. May Allah Ta’ala forgive us.
3.) Sister in Islam, your statement : ‘Allah is not on my side otherwise He would have helped me by now,’ is a very, very dangerous statement.
The One who created you, nurtures you and sustains you, and has blessed you with Imaan and Islam and innumberable bounties. I think that says plenty about how kind and loving Allah Ta’ala is to you and to me.
Why the doubts? Why do you question Him?
Why don’t you question yourself?
There are conditions to be fulfilled to be recipient to the help of Allah Ta’ala. We should ask ourselves if we are fulfilling our part of the contract. Because Allah Ta’ala’s Help and His Mercy are with the doers of good (Muhsineen) …
4.) Know your RABB: Allah Ta’ala is Most Just, Most Fair, Most Loving, Most Kind, Most Gentle, Most Beautiful, Most Merciful, Most Forgiving....
However, we have got to look into our lives and see whether our actions are drawing that Divine Love, that Divine Kindness, that Divine Gentleness and Mercy, or is it that our behavior and our actions repel it?
Allah Ta’ala is near. We are the ones who move away and distance ourselves from Him.
5.) If someone has betrayed you, hurt you, been unfaithful to you, then that betrayal lies with the person or persons, not with Allah Ta’ala. Why blame Allah?
We need to ask ourselves: Are we faithful to Allah Ta’ala?
This world is unfaithful. Many people in this world are also unfaithful. We experience this unfaithfulness. It is so that our hearts are freed of the creation, of ghayrullah, and instead occupied with the TRUE BELOVED (Allah Ta’ala).
…Recognize the hidden blessing in this.
If there is a test in health or in wealth, then this is part and parcel of life. We all deal with the same. Who does not know what sickness is or who does not know the experience of loss in wealth?
If there is the test of death, then death comes over everything – but the separation is temporary. We will all meet our loved ones when we cross that bridge of death. Insha-Allah, the reunion will be in Jannah.
6.) Dear Sister,
Place your TRUST, your HOPE, your EXPECTATION ONLY on the ONE WHO DOES NOT DISAPPOINT (Allah Ta’ala).
Let your DUA be to HIM, who Answers and Responds.
Know that Allah Ta’ala is the FRIEND of the Believers.
Become HIS FRIEND.
7.) My apologies for this reply being so lengthy. The truth is, reading your posts and responses saddened me greatly. I decided to just suggest one or two points, but now so much more has been said. May Allah Ta’ala make it beneficial for me, for you and for those who read it.
May Allah Ta’ala forgive us and guide us all.
Your sister in Islam
