Private Messaging has been activated.
In our aim to keep the environment of sunniforum.com as Halaal as possible, we have implemented another SF exclusive which you won't find in any other Islamic forum.the much asked/sought-over feature: private messaging is now activated.
The system will only allow you to private message someone of the same gender as you.
In-order for you to be able to use this feature, you must be part of one of the usergroups - either brother or sister. If you are not part of either, private messaging will not work for you.
So, if you have not already done so, please apply to join one of these usergroups. Once you have been given access, you will be able to private message other members of the same gender, and also gain access to the brother/sister -only rooms.
To apply for access:
-Click on "USER CP" (on the default template, this is in the top right-hand corner of the forum).
-On the left menu, near the bottom click on "Group Memberships".
-Apply for access to the relevant group.
Please be advised that no-one will be given access to both groups, and access is only given after a moderator has approved the application.
If you already have access to the brother or sister room, you do not need to request access again. You may use the private messaging system immediately.
If you do come across any problems, or have any comments, please feel free to ask.
It is advisable to turn these options to "yes" in your User CP:
-Receive Private Messages
-Send Notification Email When a Private Message is Received
-Pop up a Notification Box When a Private Message is Received
Finally, please be respectful and courteous in your private messages. If members complain of abuse, SF have full right to remove private messaging privelages from the offending member.
