    Default Muslim view on ghosts

Are there muslims that believe that when a person dies he can be a ghost?

Personally, I think that there is really no such thing, and that whatever it is that might appear to be a ghost is actually a djinn, since they can take up many forms. Also, isn't it true that when we die, we enter into a real of waiting for The Day of Judgement? I know what's the english or arabic word for it, but if I'm not mistaken, in this realm, the wicked will suffer, the good will be comfortable.

    What are your views?

I once asked this person, what the ghost looked like please describe it. The person said that all he saw was something blurry and one leg as if its floating.

I am not sure if this is true but I heard that djinns also have one leg or something that looks like a leg... i might be wrong!

    Salaam

A friend narrated to me about 2 of his relative's experience(different times, same place) where they saw a scaly One of them talked about it only to find out that they both saw it.

And once I was out late at night with my friends and I heard some faint eerie laughter which did not come from any of my friends. So I'm pretty sure that there are unseen things around, its gotta be these jinns right?

Of course our Iman is that Jinns co-exist with us. People outside of the folds of Islam will label these as "Ghosts", because they have no other explanation for the happenings or whatever they felt, saw or heard.

I think it would be a corrupt belief to think we will become ghosts after death. After death what will happen, will be exactly what is told by Qur'an and Ahadith.

A creation of Allah. Jinns are "spirits", they can be good and evil just as people.
Satan is a Jinn, He was a follower of God until God made man. Then Satan got angry over something don't remember. He said, you made man from clay, And you made me from Fire.

Angels can be good Jinns I might be wrong here.

Jinns have existed long before humans and earth and will exist long after the end days. They are Gods Primary creation, Humans are a side dish. Like Aliens if there where any.
