Madressa Zakariya Park (Darul Uloom Zakariyya)

I am planning to study at Zakariyya for the next school year.

I am ready to go, but I'm having a hard time finding solid information on how to get everything settled to study there. I want housing for my wife and me inside the compound, but they told me to contact them in May. I want to be positive that I will have housing.

Can anyone give me information and/or give me the contact for a brother there (or a sister whom my wife may contact)?

Can you maybe help me through the applying procedure? Since this seems to be the hardest, maybe you can even contact the Madrassa for me and ask what I should do next (if I gave my real Name to you) since it's hard for me to get a hold on them.

I would like to have some info regarding Madressa Zakariya in Johannesburg and i would like to know the fees / child and how old the child should be to start. I am from Canada and i would like my child to go there for islamic studies so if someone could please give me that info, or any direct email contact or website i will greatly appreciate it.

The best manner to decide whether or not Darul Uloom Zakariyya is the best for your child is to make istikhara and consult those Ulama residing in Canada who have studied in Darul Uloom Zakariyya or at least studied in South Africa. They will be able to assist you better, since they will have more information regarding the institute . From the Ulama staying in Canada, Mawlana Yusuf Badat is a graduate of Darul Uloom Zakariyya. You may try to contact him. Also, Mawlana Abdullah Kapodri has sent his grandson to Darul Uloom Zakariyya and has personally visited the institute several times. You may also consult him for his opinion.

Besides Darul Uloom Zakariyya, there are many other great institutes in South Africa where you may send your child, e.g. Darul Uloom Azadville, Madressa Taleemuddin, Jamia Mahmoodia and Madressa Ina’amiyyah.

Since you are from Canada, and I'm from Canada, and your child will come back to Canada, I would advise you to send your child to some other Darul Uloom. I just heard a graduate scholar of DUZ and he made more than 20 to 25 mistakes in quoting Quran and Hadith in Arabic in his speech which is TOTALLY unacceptable!!!!He even teaches at a Girl's Darul Uloom in South Africa!
