Actual chronological order of the ayaahs?

Ok, I have a request to make.

Any books out there which show me the order the ayaahs were revealed in each year of nabi prophethood.

So basically, in the first year of prophethood, in which exact order and which ayaahs were revealed. And so on for the second,third,right till the very last revelation in the final year.

The specific info is the actual order of the ayaahs.

I believe it was done once by a non-muslim as an alternative for the mushaf that we have right now.

by Neal Robinson

and in one of the chapters, there is a historical background of that guy's work on sorting the ayats in chronological orders. Not sure about any Muslim that did this work yet.

I will tell you that there is not agreement on this issue.

Furthermore, you should consider the example of those Muslims who are far better than us. Ali bin Abi Talib (Radiyallah anhu waArdaah) kept a copy of the ayahs in chronological order. But he properly disposed of it after Uthman (Radiyallahu anhu waArdaah) issued the 7 "official" copies and ordered that all other copies be properly disposed of.


I am quite certain that none of us are better than Uthman or Ali. They agreed to NOT have a chronological order. We should do the same.

i have heard (yes just heard, dont take my word for it) the mushaf of the companion Abdullah ibn Masood was in that order. ask the scholars in the forum they will be able to comment

but i know your answer for our past will benefit our future
to name the aya to recognise the ERA
i say learn the totality of time by reading the SEERA
