Asalamu Alaikum,
this is a question that has been on my mind for quite a while now..
Is it permissible to make Wudu in the shower?
In the Hanafi madhab, does touching ones private parts break their wudu?
JazakAllah Khair.

Bismillah,
Assalamu alaikum Sidi,
I am not sure as to your first question. InshaAllah someone can answer that.
But with regards to the second question, if one touches their private parts or the anus, one does not break their wudhu, in the Hanafi madhab. I read an answer by Shaykh Faraz on SunniPath, that if one does touch their private part or anus, one should wash their hands, at least.
InshaAllah, this helps.

Bismillah,
Here are some answers from SunniPath so you have some sort of evidence with regards to not breaking wudhu by touching one's private parts:

It is permissable to make wudhu in the shower, infact even if you didn't intend to make wudhu, and all your fardh parts of wudhu get wet, then you wudhu is valid, as niyyah (intention) for wudhu is a sunnah, not a fardh in Hanafi madhhab.
Wallahu A'alum
What about wiping the head? Would letting water flow over your head take care of that?
Al-Layth said: "If I saw a person of desires (i.e. innovations) walking upon the water I would not accept from him." So Imam as-Shafii then said: "He (al-Layth) has fallen short. If I saw him walking in the air I would not accept from him."

Bismillah,
Assalamu alaikum,
I wanted to also make sure too that if the wudhu is to count when just taking a shower, aren't we also supposed to ascertain that we have rinsed the mouth and the nose? Wouldn't the wudhu be invalid if one does not rinse the mouth and the nose when they are taking a shower?
JazakAllah khayran.
Ma'salama
In the Hanafi madhab, rinsing the mouth and nose are sunnah actions during wudu and do not affect its validity
The fard actions necessary for validity are to rinse:
Full face once
Both arms/hands up to and including elbows once
Both feet up to and including ankles once
And to wipe:
One quarter of the area above the top of the ears (i.e. where the hair is) once

As salaam Alaikom,
Why is wiping 1/4 of the "area above the top of the ears (i.e. where the hair is) once, OBLIGATORY? Is the Evidence on this measurement undoubtable evidence (دليل قطعي) , or speculatory evidence (دليل ظني) ?
