ANSWERED: Who are the habashis? (al-ahbash)

i attended some aqidah lessons, it was the normal Ash3a'ri aqidah, but i noticed that the teacher was reluctant to tell me the scholar who wrote the book 'al-Mukhtasar' that he was teaching me from.

i found some articles on the net but they were by so-called salafis so i didnt trust them.
their scholar is sheikh Abdullah Harariyy

does anyone have an idea?

According to wht i have heard from reliable scholars (who i will not name right now) is that Abdullah Harari is an innovator, well known for making Takfir on Major scholars and speaking against the Sahaba. Further, it has been shown that he misrepresents and misattributes the sayings and positions of Imam Al Ash'ari.

one of the `ulama whom i've heard mention them as "The Ahbash" is Shaykh Nuh ha meem Keller in one of his audios

Actually the Sheikh who gave Nuh Keller the Ijaza in the Knowledge of Hadith (Arna'ut) took his Ijaza from Sheikh ^Abdullah Al-Harari. Although Nuh keller might call them Ahbash but he doesn't say they are kuffar or not from Ahlussunah.

The Ahbash have made Takfir on many Ulema including Shaykh Buti have they not?

Also, is it true that they hurl insults on Hadhrat Muawiyah RA calling him a Faasiq?

The habashis (followers of Abdullah al-Habashi) have declared you to be non-Muslim. The Habashi say that they are Ash'ari in aqida, Shafi in Fiqh and Rifai in Tariqa. I like to know if you have replied to these people or not and how can sunnis reply to these people who make fitnah and raise the banner of takfir on Muslims? This fitnah is really growing.

Al-Ahbash have not claimed non-Muslim against me alone. As far as I know, they declared it against others who are better than me, such as Mutwalli Sha'rawi, Ibn Taymiyah, Sheikh Yusuf al-Qardawi and many others. For me, I only supplicate Allah to protect me from all tumults, those revealed and concealed ones, especially the tumult of infidelity, and to terminate my life with the deeds most loved to him in order to meet Him while He is pleased with me.

More over the same people who declare Ibn taymiyah Kaffir the so called Naqashbandis also provide a link to a popular Wahabi site against whom they Call Ahbash.

Chill out bro!

First off, I am not a follower of sh. Kabbani or sh. Nazim so you can discuss hair touching issues with them. Similarly, if you have issues with Sh. Bouti and other Ulema you can discuss it directly with them.

Secondly, I have no hatred towards Al-Ahbash or anyone else for that matter.

And finally, I am not particularly interested in researching your stance on Hadhrat Muawiyah [may Allah be PLEASED with him] (which is why I had asked you the question as you appeared knowledgable of their stances) so if anyone else is they can do their own research inshaAllah.

Anyways, I'll leave this thread for now as I don't see any benefit in it for me.
