Default Krispy Kreme, is it halal again?

    As salamu alaykum

Sorry for not sending an email to eat-halal.com, I thought I should just ask here, since my family wants an answer real soooon…
Okay so I heard that krispy kreme was halal again and that it “was haram…but now its halal”…
I don’t know what to think, but people are eating it again. Please could you (eat-halal guy…or anyone else) check it out? Jazakallah khair!
    Jamiah Aishah Siddiqah

Two verses (couplets) are narrated from Sayyiditina Aa'ishah (r.a), the meaning of which is: "that if the friends of Zulaikha could see the blessed face of Rasulullah (s.a.w), they would have cut their hearts instead of their hands"(From Shamaa-il Tirmidhi)

I'll be waiting too. I haven't eaten those things in ages, after I found out they have gelatin in them.

geltain, I heard they have Alcohol in them (their glaze)
[3] Neither your relatives nor your children will benefit you on the Day of Resurrection (against Allâh). He will judge between you. And Allâh is the All-Seer of what you do.

    Narrated Ma'qil ibn Yasar

The Prophet said, "If anyone says three times in the morning, 'I seek refuge in Allah, the Hearer and Knower, from the accursed devil', and recites three verses at the end of surat al-Hashr, Allah will put in charge of him seventy thousand angels who will invoke blessings on him till the evening, and if he dies that day he will die as a martyr. If anyone says them in the evening he will be in that rank."

Tirmidhi and Darimi transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is a gharib tradition.

From what I know, everything is the same at Krispy Kreme, though my info may be outdated. The only problem (at last check) was the small amount of alcohol carried over into the glaze from the flavouring used in it.

I've talked a bit about the issue of small amounts of alcohol in flavourings here. Officially, on eat-halal.com, I'm waiting for a formal fatwa from Jami`yyatul Ulama Canada.

Bottom line: if you follow the scholars mentioned in the post, there's no problem with Krispy Kreme. If you don't follow them, then you deprive yourself of Krispy Kreme. Personally, I haven't tasted KK yet.

    Allah knows best.

    Wassalam,
    Ziad

Those things are awesome. Should I eat them or not?

The 'post' which Maulana Ziad referred to was talking about the 'South African and English' scholars, they're alright, aren't they?
