Default Was Ibn Abdul Wahhab correct in destroying the tombs?

    Assalamualaikum,

To some extent, I DO support the action of the Wahhabi Movement in destroying the tombs, etc. If you go to places like Pakistan/India, you'll see people making Sajdah of the grave, making Tawaf. These tombs have now become the place for potheads. These actions used to take place in Saudia Arabia at that time also, but since the tombs are no more, the actions are no more either.

    Assalamu alaikum,

We should ask the question: "how would our beloved Prophet, salallahu alaihi wassalam, have dealt with this issue?"

Sahih Bukhari, Volumn 008, Book 073, Hadith Number 054.
    -----------------------------------------
Narated By Anas bin Malik : A bedouin urinated in the mosque and the people ran to (beat) him. Allah's Apostle said, "Do not interrupt his urination (i.e. let him finish)." Then the Prophet asked for a tumbler of water and poured the water over the place of urine.

As we see, our beloved Prophet, salallahu alaihi wassalam, took the most gentle route possible even in such a gross violation of good manners. Likewise, I believe he would have taught the people the proper rules concerning graves and enforced them. I think Wahhab and his followers behaved like thugs, frankly.

    And Allah Knows Best.

    A few questions for you...

Who buried the Prophet in the mosque?

    THE SALAF!!!

Who requested to be buried there?

    THE PROPHET!!!

Where did Abu Bakr and Umar request to be buried?

NEXT TO THE PROPHET IN THE MOSQUE!!!

Who buried Abu Bakr and Umar in the mosque next to the Prophet?

    THE SALAF!!!

    Hello? Anyone home?
'Ja`far narrated from his father, Muhammad al-Baqir, that a man came to his grandfather, Zain al-`Abidin as-Sajjad, and said:

"Tell me about Abu Bakr!" He said, "You mean as-Siddiq?" The man said, "How do you call him as-Siddiq when he is against you, the Family of the Prophet ?"

He replied, "Woe to you. The Prophet called him as-Siddiq, and Allah accepted his title of as-Siddiq. If you want to come to me, keep the love of Abu Bakr and `Umar in your heart."'

Anyways, Like I stated refer to the books and take it from their and also refer to the ahadith that was given and also his counter arguments for the person's excuse about shirk!

Ibrahim al-Harbi said, ‘I heard Ahmad Ibn Hanbal say, ‘If you love that Allah should keep you upon that which you love, then remain upon that which He loves, and the good is in the one who sees no good in himself.”

No, I think that's a pretty good point.

The salaf made the tombs, who are we to knock em down.

I may be immature, but you didn't refute my point. Try again.

Refer to the books? Har, har, har . What happend to "salaf, not khalaf"?

So, was Abu Bakr WRONG in asking to be buried next to the Prophet? Please answer?

I thought your slogan was "salaf not khalaf"? Is Abu Bakr As-Siddiq not "salafi" enough for you?

Answer my questions, if you are honest:

Who buried the Prophet in the mosque?

    (THE SALAF!!!)

Who requested to be buried there?

    (THE PROPHET!!!)

Where did Abu Bakr and Umar request to be buried?

(NEXT TO THE PROPHET IN THE MOSQUE!!!)

Who buried Abu Bakr and Umar in the mosque next to the Prophet?

    (THE SALAF!!!)

    Salaf not khalaf, my foot.

I agree that some people don't know how to visit tombs, and commit shirk and kufr.

    HOWEVER:

Bulldozing a grave and turning it into a toilet (like Khadijah's house ) is NOT THE RIGHT COURSE OF ACTION.

Otherwise, let's bulldoze everyplace where shirk, kufr, and nifaq are committed, namely, everywhere that has ever existed.

Let's start with your house, and then we'll do mine (we can turn my house into a public toilet, like you Wahhabis did with Khadijah's house ), what do you say? As matter of fact, why don't you just bulldoze me and cave my skull in, because I'm pretty sure that's a den of kufr and nifaq. Is there any kufr in your skull? Let's get the bone-saw, and see...

    Exactly right.

But Sayyidina Muhammad's grave is not a "place of worship"

The Guiding Helper (al-Murshid al-Muin written by Ibn Ishaq [RA] )says:
Then, go to visit the Prophet with etiquette: 32:1315
Become pure. Repent. Enter the Masjid as fit. 32:1316
Pray two units and then go to face the Prophet. 32:1317
Send your salam to him. But then, do not forget 32:1318
Abu Bakr on the right and `Umar at his side2072. 32:1319
Ask for pure forgiveness and the Garden to abide. 32:1320

    Explanatory Notes:
2064 The Prophet's body (May Allah bless him and give him peace) is buried in his original house which is now
part of his Masjid in Madinah. It is mandub to go visit this Masjid and the grave of the Prophet (May Allah
bless him and give him peace). Additionally, one may also visit the graves of some of his companions which
are located in a graveyard adjacent to the Prophet's Masjid (May Allah bless him and give him peace).
2065 It is part of etiquette to perform ablution before entering to visit the Prophet (May Allah bless him and give
    him peace).
2066 It is part of etiquette to repent from past misdeeds before entering to visit the Prophet (May Allah bless him
    and give him peace).
2067 Please refer to footnote 1825.
2068 It is part of etiquette to perform a two unit mandub prayer after entering the masjid and before going to face
the Prophet (May Allah bless him and give him peace).
2069 It is part of etiquette to have one's face towards the Prophet's grave (May Allah bless him and give him
    peace) when sending one's salutations.
2070 It is part of etiquette to say "Assalamu `Alaykum" to the Prophet facing his grave (May Allah bless him and
    give him peace).
2071 It is part of etiquette to turn slightly to the right (when one's back is towards the qiblah) and say "Assalamu
`Alaykum" to Abū Bakr al-"iddīq (May Allah be well pleased with him) who is buried to the right of the
Prophet. Abu Bakr was the first Caliph after the Prophet (May Allah bless him and give him peace) left us.
2072 It is part of etiquette to turn slightly more to the right (when one's back is towards the qiblah) and say
"Assalamu `Alaykum" to `Umar ibn al-Kha''āb (May Allah be well pleased with him) who is buried to the right
of Abu Bakr al-Siddiq. `Umar ibn al-Khattab was the second Caliph after the Prophet (May Allah bless him and
    give him peace).
[Revision Note: Since the actual location of `Umar's grave is to the right of Abu Bakr according to the most
authentic sources, we have changed verses 1319-1320 to read as above. These are the only verses which have
been changed for clarification purposes since the original release of the Guiding Helper. We do not plan to
change any other verses of the text and expect progeny to preserve this text as they found it clarifying any
oddities in their own explanatory notes.]
Additionally for those in the future that visit the Prophet Muhammad (May Allah bless him and give him peace)
after Prophet `Isa (upon whom be peace) is buried in his reserved spot next to him, it will be mandub to also say
"Assalamu `Alaykum" to Prophet `Isa (upon whom be peace).

Go enroll in al-Qarawayin University in Morrocco and study for 10 years and then go argue.

Shaykh Abut Qanit al-Hassani's (teacher of the Guiding Helper in English) qualifications:
Abuqanit Hasani has been studying Jurisprudence formally for over
ten years. Although this is not a very long time, those that have
in actuality studied with him in person (a rare few) agree that
he is far more qualified and understands the issues at a far greater
depth than the average gray-bearded sheikh alive today who
may claim to have been studying for thirty or forty years.

As for the texts he has studied with `Ali Filali and his other Teachers,
they are about fifty substantial Arabic texts, such as the over twenty
volume Tafsir Imam al-Qurtubi, the eight volume al-Khurashi Sharh
    Mukhtasar Khalil, Tuhfah al-Hukkam, al-Qawanin al-Fiqhiyyah, the
    various available shuruh of al-Murshid al-Mu`in, al-Khulasah
    al-Fiqhiyyah, al-Mudawwanah al-Kubra, Muqaddimat ibn Rushd,
    etc.

Additionally, he has perused many traditional and ancient Arabic
books about `aqidah, fiqh, and tasawwuf, which amount to near or
    over one thousand separate works.

Also, he is a Hafiz of the Qur'an and has memorized well over ten
thousand hadith (not counting duplications). He has also memorized
thousands of lines of mutun (similar to the al-Murshid al-Mu`in).
His mastery of the Arabic language in its grammar and lexicography
is surpassed by perhaps only a few in the world alive today.

    Jazakallahu Khayrun

    good show akhi
    The spin stops here.
