Uthmani Script typing

Salam Alaikum,

For a project of mine, I need to type the Quran in Uthmani script. Does anyone know where I can find a software that would allow me to do that?

Note, I need to be able to type in Uthmani naskh calligraphy (the script that you see in the Saudi Mushafs). This is different from the Arabic typesetting that you can get on Microsoft XP. For example, I need to be able to type the long "Kaaf," and the hooked "Raa'", etc.

This is also different from the Qurans you find in the Subcontinent. I specifically need the script that is used in the Qurans printed from the King Fahad Press in Madinah Munawwarah.

I believe that is handwritten, so there is not font used for that print.

But, I'm sure you can find similar fonts.

I checked out the sites

aliflammim is not for typing... it's basically just copy-paste

the other one, arabicfonts, seems to be the one im looking for but im not sure... when i tried to download what they have up there, I just got a document with a bunch of squares on it.

Maybe im doing something wrong?

If you're using Windows, do you have Arabic installed, and also set to be your default Unicode font? See http://www.uga.edu/islam/arabic_windows.html

It's the calligraphy of Uthman Taha, I believe, in Mushaf al-Madinah.

Now, it is possible to quote Quranic verses with true digital handwriting of Uthman Taha. This is done by a free software provided by Qurancomplex. If anyone interested I go into explaining it.

Yes please do it. I found it difficult to find the free software that your had mentioned in the respective website. So I'm interested can you kindly go in to detail.

(NB: I'm reviving this thread almost after ten months. Anyhow I found this particular post is timely to me.
