shaykh muhammad is trained in both hanafi and maliki legal schools and has taught the fiqh of both.

since the majority of masajid in the west are hanafi, you will find the shaykh praying according to hanafi fiqh.

I am aware that he knows both Maliki and Hanafi schools due to his father (rahimullah). I just want to confirm from others whether he made an official switch back to Maliki because I heard from reliable sources that he recently had a dream of his father who instructed him to switch to Maliki. Wa Llahu Alim.

this wasn't the circumstance of the dream... but in essence, when one is trained in both schools - what does it matter? no offence intended.

I've noticed that Shaykh Muhammad al Yaqoubi's events have been video recorded, therefore does anyone know if the DVDs have been released?

there may be audio cd's in the pipeline. there are no plans for DVD... yet.

Noor TV will soon be airing a 30-episode series recorded with Shaykh Muhammad on the tafsir of surah al-fatiha, approx 50mins per episode.

they have also filmed Shaykh's Sunday talk "how to establish a madinan society".
