mashaAllah a respected learning centre!
Jamia Nizamia is not a Barelwi institute , it was founded by student of Haji Imdadullah Muhajir Makki, Mawlana Anwar ullah Faroqi
A Barelwi should be defined as one who does Takfir of Sunnis ( Deobandis ). They don't do takfir of Deobandis unlike Barelwis ( followers of Molwi Ahmad Raza Khan ) infact most of their senior scholars have taken ilm from Deobandi scholars. They might celebrate Mawlid and Urs but they are not certainly Barelwis.
Mawlana Abul Wafa Afghani, Mawlana Manazir Ahsan Gilani, Mawlana Abdullah Shah Naqshbandi and many other senior scholars of this institute were of Deobandi affiliation.

nearly 2/3 of muslims in india are barelvi
Urs and Mawlid were practised in subcontinent before Maulana Ahmad Raza Khan for example you got many people who follow the spiritual heritage of Pir Mehra Ali shah (ra) pir Fazal Ali qureshi (ra) who celebrate mawlid and urs but do not believe in the Takfir of Maulana ahmed raza Khan against deobandis. And if indeed 2/3 of india are barelvi what does that prove afterall 2/3 of saudi arabia are salaafi and the imams who lead the prayers in Masjid al Haramain and Masjid al Nabawi are salaafi does that mean that the salaafi are more correct.
And I speak as someone who comes from a "Barelvi" family background.
Silence Is Golden....!
Ala hazrat condemned many practices he saw as bid'at (forbidden innovations) in his wrting Fatwa Rizivia, such as:
Qawali (religious music)
Women going to visit mazaar (tombs)
the touching of shrines
Tawaf (ceremonially walking in circles around a holy site) of tombs.
Sajda (prostration) to those other than God
Ta'zieh, plays re-enacting religious scenes
People who oppose the Mawlid are stupid.
