I don't know of any bookstores in the UK who have it at the moment, I think Azhar Academy is out of stock of it.
You could get it from Neelwafurat for $68; the postage would probably also be nearly as much.
Here is a link to it on Neelwafurat.
Sahabah رضي الله عنهم would cling fast to the Sunnah, on account of it being Sunnah, while we discard the Sunnah, on account of it being (just) Sunnah!

I just bought it from the same place Mufti Husain linked to. Be careful with the shipping, I paid around $100 for it (yes, more than the price of the book!). So you're looking at around $150 for the book, unless shipping to the UK is substantially cheaper than it is to the US.

What kind of books? The popular choices are usually things Faraz Rabbani's Absolute Essentials, Fada'il A`mal, Ascent to Felicity, etc. But it would depend on what types of books she needs (Fiqh, Aqeeda, Fada'il, etc.).
Ascent to Felicity is probably a good choice for beginners, as far as I know. I think there's classes explaining it right now on EuroSunni as well.
Most of the books at al-rashad books are good. Let me know what kind of books you are looking for and I will try to provide you the links.

Mufti Sahb, a question slightly off topic :
Numerous ketabs in their discussion on the Masaa'il of Haydh make mention of Imaam Muhammads
200 page detailed treatise on the subject and some even mention Imaam Tahawis 500pg treatise.
Are these ketabs no longer available or is there a hard copy somewhere?
As Salamu Alaykum
Still no volume 1 of Al Lubab. Its now been 2 years since I started this thread.
Imam ash-Shafi`i said, "Whoever takes knowledge from books loses the regulations." (man akhadha al-`ilma min al-kutubi Dayya`a al-aHkaama). [Reported by Nawawi in the introduction to "al-Majmu`"]
I would advise one not to wait for it as I am not sure if it ever will be published or not. The translation as far as I was told by some sources has not been even fully completed so that means full translation, editing and then publishing is what is still required. long ways to go...
As Salamu Alaykum
I got direct emails from the publishers saying:
This email was dated Feb 14, 2008. This is unacceptable and unprofessional for a publishing company.Dear Brother
I pray that all is well. Im would like to apologies for letting you
down you down. Have the first volume almost ready, its just in its
final faze of checking - and after that we are ready to design the
book and index the book and send it to printers.
I will e.mail you when its ready. I don't want to upset you with a
date and we don't meet that deadline. One think i can say for sure is
that it will be this year.

Assalamu 'alaykum,
Has anyone met the people at Turath personally? Or tried to sponsor their projects?
One brother was told in March this year that the first volume of al-Lubab will be published this year [and it was mentioned that it has taken a long time/apologies etc].
I think the best is to go to them personally and ask the issue and see if we can help in any way etc.
Nawawi, if you don't mind me asking, is there any particular reason for why are you so eager for the translation? I assume you know Arabic right?
