Default Dedicated to the beloved Sunnats of Rasul Allah (Salallahu alayhi wassallam)

The precious sunnats of our beloved Prophet (SAAS) are actually Allahs little gifts for us to bind us all subtly to His beloved even though at times we are not fit even to be compared to the dust which touches his most beloved followers. It is said that when one adopts a seemingly small sunnah it brings along noor into his heart and noor is a sum total of light (the light of imaan) and energy. This energy gives the mumin the ability to leave one of his habitual sins or to do a righteous deed. In this way when one goes on inculcating these precious sunnats in ones day to day life one becomes stronger and stronger to leave what displeases Allah and to adopt deeds which earn His pleasure.
Let us use this thread to share each day one sunnat pertaining to our day to day life.May Allah bring the noor of these precious sunnats into our lives and give us the strength to be true to ourselves.May He unite us all with this strong rope which the beloved Rasool(SAAS) left for us to grasp.
I hope all brothers and sisters will participate.
It is the Prophets (Sunnat) to recite the following dua when one looks into the mirror:
"Allahuma ahsanta khalqi fa ahsin khuluqi"O Allah you have made my form beautiful , make my khulq(behaviour) also beautiful.
    Wasalaam

    Walaykum as Salam

Although the dua is famous as "Bismillahe wa ALA barakatillah", Shaykh al hadith Moulana Fadhlur Rahman Azmi (d.b) (The greatest student of Ml Habeeb ar Rahman Azmi (d.b) points out that in all the authentic Ahadith, the dua is narrated as "Bismillahe wa barakatillah" without 'ala'. (Tabrani, Mustadrak al hakim, Shuab al iman)

Likewise, the dua after meals is famously read as'...... wa ja alana MINAL muslimeen.' Moulana Fazlur Rahman points out that in the authentic hadith of Abu Dawood, Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah the dua ends as '.....wa ja alana muslimeen' with no 'min.'

It is always better to follow Nabi (sall Allah alayhi wassallam) in the best possible way.

    And Allah knows best

    Wassallam

To put the left foot forward while entering the toilet and the right one when leaving; not talking or reciting any part of the Quran or any zikr when inside.

When one applies hair oil which is a sunnat- the sunnah way is to apply just below and on the eyebrows first, then the middle parting of hair and then elsewhere on the scalp.

when we put on clothes or shoes etc we start from the right and when we take them off we start from the left first.
before we enter toilet we read

    االلُّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخُبْثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ

Verily, Allah and His angels shower blessings on the Prophet. O Believers! send blessings upon him and salute him with a worthy salutation". (Qur'aan - 33:56)

My Allah : Let one of your beloved archers find this arrow lying still on the ground and use it so that the full potential in it is used and it reaches the target you have assigned for it.
