    Default Walima

    Assalamu alaikum,

There is a general trend in south India for the bride and groom family to share the cost of walima. Is it wrong on the part of groom to accept that bride family pays half the cost of walima? The bride family does this willingly to ensure that they do not have to give food on another day at full cost to their relatives.

    Jazakallah Khair

    Wassalam

brother is bride and groom, khair i am referring as bride and bridegroom here

walima is to be given by bride groom, though there is nothing wrong is sharing but it is only when one of them is poor, if u r rich enough u have to bear it alone without any burden on bride

khair now-a-days its waste to discuss about it, bridegrooms are taking even the wages of people who work in their house for marriage and all that to take care of bride from brides father in the form of dowry and all
