They are not neccessarliy related because the names headlined are names of places, e.g. kandhalvi, Ludhyanvi, Thanvi and Qasmi simply means that the individual is a graduate of Darul Uloom Deoband. Having said that, many of them are related as abdulquddus has pointed out.

    P.S. don't forget:

Mufti Azizur Rahman Usmani (rahmatullahialay) and Moulana Habibur Rahman Usmani (rahmatullahialay), who were Maulana Shabbir Ahmad Usmani's(rahmatullahialay) older brothers.

And there's also the Gangohis to consider

Okay, I know that many or even most of the ones I listened will have no connection with eachother.
But can someone not just start posting the connections he knows about?

True, I'll add the Gangohis later on.

btw. What was the origin for calling Deoband graduants Qasmis? Was it just because of Maulana Qasim Nanotwi? Or is there a story behind that?

They all seem to be honourable gems from Pakistani Deobandi Ulama.. I know the site to be a respectable authentic one.

    Definitely a very authentic website.
A few other great websites for listening to authentic audio of deoband scholars right in my signature.

Disclaimer: aswatalislam.net has a huge collection but they have scholars belonging to all backgrounds so no guarantees!

The creation of pakistan seems to have had a deleterious effect on the deobandi movement. If one compares the ulama who preceeded it and those after it there is a definite difference in the quality of scholars being produced. This may have something to do with the very raison d'etre of the movement and it reaching its apogee in that historical moment. However much work is yet to be done, and although the number of institutions and adherents are definitely increasing there is a noticable decline in the quality of scholarship being generated.

We should pray to Allah that it not be our generation which fails to deliver.
