Access to Brothers Forum

This is Abuhajira.

I hope Mufti eTeacher would not mind me hijacking his post. He left it blank so I guess I might as well utilize it for Announcement for this sections

REQUIREMENTS

1. 75 Quality Posts (which means a small hello, hi posts or even those simply affirming someone elses views like "i agree with you" do not count)
2. Be a Male ( I cannot stress how important this is. If we find out that you lied on this requirement either in the Gender Specific Forum or out of it, You will be permanently banned)
3. Voice Verification (which will be somewhat like an informal interview; could be arranged through Gtalk (Internet) or Normal Phone call) The verification should take about 4-5 minutes, or longer if need be.

NOTE FOR ALL APPLICANTS :

A. Once you place your request in this thread you will be contacted through the email address you signed up the forum with. In case you are no longer using that email, please let us know before hand.

B. Also note that as a part of the assessment we will ask some private information. This is not to exploit your privacy rather to secure the privacy of others in the Gender Specific Forum.

C. However please note that the above are base requirements. If you fulfill the above, it would not automatically mean that you have been accepted. We will conduct an overall assessment and accept or reject you. InshAllah we will try to keep you well informed whether you are accepted or rejected.

I sent an email March 31st requesting access to the brother's forum, but have yet to hear anything from anyone. Is there another criteria I have to meet that I'm not aware of (ie frequency of posting, etc.)?

Isn't rule very strict for brothers? I don't have an msn account plus I never thought I can be asked to talk like that so I didn't buy a headfone+speaker. Isn't there any exception for someone like me? I swear by Allah that I am a brother.

If it's a chat program, I don't allow any of those on my PC. It would be rather hypocritical of me to tell everyone "no" to them only to install one for my own needs. I left him my phone number via email, so I thought that would suffice.

I applied for access to the brothers' forum AGES AGO but I haven't had the opportunity to speak to any of the mods yet. However, I did meet Moulana Saeed M Sahib the other day and though he didn't know it was me, I'm sure that if the mods were to ask him about me he'll be able to confirm that I am indeed a member of the masculine gender (if that's what the mods need to confirm). If Moulana Sahib confirms the above, would this be enough for me to finally get access to the brothers' forum?

I definitely don’t have enough posts to join the Brothers forum but when I do Insha Allah, can I contact Mufti Husain Saheb? I stay in Durban (SA) so Mufti saheb is probably the closest to me in distance (I think!).

Yup, you could. You would just need to talk to him over the phone or the internet.
